What VocaBoca Does

VocaBoca helps users create and study personalized vocabulary cards. The app may include AI-generated words, translations, pronunciation guides, example sentences, illustrations, audio pronunciation, daily reminders, saved review, and Home Screen widgets.

VocaBoca is a learning aid. It is not a full language course, professional translation service, tutoring service, exam-preparation guarantee, or substitute for a qualified teacher.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use VocaBoca. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you should use VocaBoca with permission from a parent or guardian.

No Account Required

VocaBoca currently does not require an account. Your decks and progress are stored locally on your device. If you delete the app or reset app data, your learning history may be deleted.

AI-Generated Content

Some vocabulary cards, translations, examples, deck names, practice content, and related materials may be generated by AI.

AI-generated content may be inaccurate, incomplete, unnatural, offensive, or inappropriate. You are responsible for reviewing and deciding whether to rely on any generated content.

We may use validation, fallbacks, and safety checks to improve quality, but we do not guarantee that all content will be correct.

Pronunciation and Audio

VocaBoca may use system voices or third-party audio services to play pronunciation. Audio quality, language support, and availability may vary by device, language, voice, and service status.

Illustrations

VocaBoca may use generated, fetched, cached, or fallback illustrations. Illustrations are intended to help memory and make the app more enjoyable. They may not always perfectly represent the word or culture associated with a word.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use VocaBoca for unlawful, harmful, abusive, or deceptive purposes
• Attempt to reverse engineer, disrupt, overload, or attack the app or related services
• Use the app to generate or request hateful, sexual, violent, harassing, or otherwise harmful content
• Violate the rights of others, including intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights
• Copy, resell, or redistribute the app or its content in a way that violates these Terms

Intellectual Property

VocaBoca, including its design, branding, software, interface, and original content, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You may use the app for personal, non-commercial learning. These Terms do not transfer ownership of VocaBoca or its content to you.

Third-party content, icons, fonts, services, and APIs remain the property of their respective owners.

User Content and Inputs

When you enter a learning goal, custom topic, or other prompt, you are responsible for that input. You grant us the limited permission needed to process that input to provide app features, including generating vocabulary cards and related content.

Do not enter sensitive personal information, confidential information, or content you do not have the right to use.

Third-Party Services

VocaBoca may rely on third-party services, including AI, illustration, audio, Apple system services, and App Store services. We are not responsible for third-party service outages, changes, errors, or policies.

Your use of VocaBoca may also be subject to Apple's App Store terms and the terms of any third-party services used by the app.

Payments and Subscriptions

VocaBoca is currently planned as a free app. If paid features, subscriptions, or in-app purchases are added in the future, the price, renewal terms, cancellation options, and any additional terms will be shown before purchase through the App Store.

Apple handles App Store payments, refunds, and subscription management according to Apple's policies.

Disclaimers

VocaBoca is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent allowed by law, we disclaim warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, reliability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not guarantee:

• That you will learn or remember any particular word
• That AI-generated translations or examples will always be accurate
• That all features will be available on all devices or languages
• That the app will be uninterrupted or error-free

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost data, lost profits, or learning outcomes arising from your use of VocaBoca.

Our total liability for any claim relating to VocaBoca will be limited to the amount you paid us for the app or service in the 12 months before the claim, or USD $20 if you paid nothing, unless applicable law requires otherwise.

Termination

You may stop using VocaBoca at any time. We may suspend or discontinue the app or any feature at any time, including for maintenance, safety, legal, or business reasons.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date and, where appropriate, notify users in the app or on our website.

Your continued use of VocaBoca after the Terms are updated means you accept the updated Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom, without regard to conflict of law rules.
